Key Skills & Techniques: Jumps


The Jumps module develops explosive power, coordination, and flexibility, all of which are essential for TeamGym performance. By practicing a variety of jumps and leaps, athletes improve their elevation, posture, and rhythm, while also learning safe and controlled landings.


This module includes exercises such as stretched and tuck jumps, scissors leaps (continuous and one leg at a time), cat leaps (with continuous leg movement), and split leaps (with hop on supportive leg, over an obstacle, and supportive variation). These drills combine strength and elegance, preparing gymnasts for dynamic choreography and advanced acrobatics..


1.Stretched and Tuck Jump


2.Scissors Leap (including 1) continous movement of legs, 2) one leg at a time)


3.Cat Leap (including continues movement of the legs)


4.Split Leap (including (1) with hop on supportive leg and continous movement, 2) over and obstacle and 3) Supportive split leap)
